[Travelandtourism] upcoming changes to the division

Good evening everyone,

Perhaps one thing we should do is to include a history of this division
on our Web site. If someone can take on writing it I'll be glad to see that
it gets on the site. Having a division history should also help clear up
these misconceptions too

Margo:

Great question! Anyone who wishes to get into the travel industry will
still be able to come to this list and enquire about that. And we will help
them achieve this goal if that's their desire.

The division name as it currently is gives the general blind community the
impression that this list is for travel agents only when in fact its for all
of us because all blind people do travel and could use some assistants or
advice on travel. Hope this answers your question.

----- Original Message ----- question, please.

So, the focus will travel away--partdon the pun--from anything to do with
the travel and tourism industry in the context of folks become agents, tour
operators, etc.? If the focus will travel away from that, where can those
folks go to get help with a business possibility or a career possibility in
the industry? In other words, if someone wishes to find out how to start a
career as an agent or tour operator or some similar occupation, if this new
name is voted in, where would that person go for that type of assistance or
consultation?
