Hello Margo and everyone,

    At the end of the day there are multiple approaches to addressing what 
to do with your dog if you wish to take in an attraction where the dog can't 
go or if you don't feel comfortable taking it with you. It's a matter of 
finding the one that works best and you're most comfortable with.

    Since Mary doesn't like rough rides she waited in an air conditioned 
area with Johnny while I, and several others in our group rode the Spider 
Man Ride at Islands of Adventure.

    Bush Gardens has a very good accessibility brochure that has 
descriptions of all the rides including advisories concerning taking your 
dog on each one. Perhaps Mark should take a look at these and see how the 
service animal access information could be rewritten to be clearer to park 
visitors who use them.

    They have a ride I used to ride as a kid. Back in Massachusetts we 
called it "The Swiss Alpine Lift." Bush Gardens calls it the "Sky Ride."It's 
best described as a skilift type of attraction that carries passengers over 
several areas of the free-running areas populated with African Animals. 
Since this type of ride vehicle has floorspace your dog can accompany you on 
it provided you and the dog can be seated comfortably in the ride vehicle.

Another variation of this ride is similar to Sorin at Disney World and 
Disneyland where your feet hang out. There's no way you could get a dog on 
this type of ride vehicle hence the need to have someone watch the dog while 
you ride or use a waiting kennel.

Peter, you know, I think I wouldn't want to have Arrow in a waiting kennel
unless he was watched so no one would bother him, open a gete, etc.  I think
I'd prefer to do the things I could do with him present and then shuttle us
to a kennel staffed by professionals, board him there for a bit and shuttle
myself back to get him after I do the things we can't do together.  I'd feel
better with him either with me or with professionals who would watch out for
him and care for him, and, he'd probably love it, too, especially if they
played with him some.
