I just got this information, plus I am sending it to the NAGDU team for there website, which is great for questions about entrance issues into the country you are visiting.
The permit is free to get so long as it is a service animal, a comfort animal or pet there is a fee.
You must do this yourself, or if you are working with a travel professional they will do it for you, but you are the one to get the information from your vet.
A. PERMIT TO IMPORTAll dogs and cats entering the Cayman Islands must be accompanied by an import permit issued by the Cayman Islands Department of Agriculture. You must provide evidence that your dog or cat complies with all of our import requirements before we will issue an Import Permit. Application forms are available from:
Veterinary ServicesDepartment of AgricultureP.O. Box 459Grand Cayman KY1-1106Cayman IslandsPhysical address:181 Lottery Road, Lower ValleyBodden Town, Grand CaymanTel: (345) 947-3090Fax: (345) 947-6501Email: shana.chin at gov.kyor: ciagriculture at gov.ky
I am working with Shana myself, since Nelson and I are going next year for a few days.
See the attached document, if you cannot access .pdf, I am trying to convert it to word.
Also, guide dogs are allowed in most places, they Cayman's know all about them, and even though they are a common wealth of the British Rule, there are mostly Americans there.
Any other questions, just let me know.
