Hello Cheryl,
As a person used to planning travel events for people of varying abilities
there are several questions I ask.
Who is traveling?
How do they like to travel?
Do they need guides when traveling in unfamiliar places? (This is not just
a mobility question. Many people want travel experiences but are nervous
about traveling alone In unfamiliar places.)
What kinds of experiences would they like to have while traveling: indoors,
outdoors, athletic, museums, etc.?
What kinds of accommodations do they need, wheelchair accessibility, audio
tours, Braille, etc.?

As you know, some people are good at figuring out all of these things on
their own, while others are not aware of the accessible opportunities
available to them. As travel or event professionals we have to figure out
their comfort and knowledge levels during the contact.

These are just a few of my thoughts to get the ball rolling.

Regards,

Maryann Migliorelli
