Good morning all:

Here is the Echevarria Travel Show from last night November 6, 2013. My co-host Margo Downey, and also our wonderful secretary of the travel and tourism, had 2 guests on last night.

1st guest was Dwight Sayer, President of the National Association of Blind Veterans, we talked about the division, and also the Equal Access to Air Travel for Service-Disabled Veterans (HR 164) and (S 346), we spoke about how the Senate Bill needs more Senators on it to make the bill pass, so please contact your senators and make sure they are aware of the bill and they are for it.

We also spoke about, services out there for blind veterans that they may not know about, and to remember to all of us to shake, hug and thank a veteran, not just next Monday, which is Veterans Day, but every day, we wouldn't be here without their sacrifices.

The second half of the show we had President Marion Gwizdala, National Association of Guide Dog Users, talked about the history of NAGDU, what NAGDU does, and what we continue to do. Including the toll free line which is manned 24/7 which is being run by a grant given to NAGDU by the National Federation of the Blind. NAGDU is a proud division of the National Federation of the Blind, and that maybe in the olden days NFB wasn't for guide dogs, but for the last 25 years, we have been a proud division.

If you are not aware, NAGDU and Travel & Tourism are working on a resolution to bring to National Convention about working with the airlines on getting there employees to understand the FAA and the Air Craft Carrier Act and not to make things up and harass people when they are on the planes.
