Many of people of the 24 had left on the morning of the 13th, but we stayed an extra day to see the sights and sounds of Las Vegas. I would definitely recommend you take the Big Bus Tour Experience and pay for the day and night pass which is a hop on hop off bus, but take the full trip first. There are 2 routes the first one goes through the new part of Las Vegas Strip, it is not really new, some of the hotels go back to the early 1940s but the other bus goes to the beginning of history of Las Vegas as well as the cultural district, yes Las Vegas has a brand new cultural arts center there, they have the Las Vegas Philharmonic and ballet, which is really great, and also the Art District and also in this area, Zappos.com has moved it Headquarters to this area and has hired over 2000 employees of the Las Vegas area.

This area also has the famous wedding chapels, and they do over 1000 weddings a day.

You learn on both buses the history of Las Vegas from the time that the Mormons came across the country to form a new place to live and the Indians, the Red Rock Mountain and the Sierra Nevada Mountain, they also talk about the Mafia from Bugsy Siegel through just about less then 20 years ago when all the hotels became corporate.

All along the new part of the strip whether you walk it or take the bus there is entertainment going on. On the outside of the hotels like the Bellagio Hotel and Casino has the famous fountains that were in Oceans 11 that go on every 45 minutes or the Volcano Show that goes on in front of the Mirage Hotel (which is wonderful at night), you don't have to see it to enjoy it, Nelson did take video of this, you felt the heat from the show from across the street and the Hawaiian and Polynesian Music coming from it, made you feel you were near a volcano or in Hawaii.

I have posted a link to a video that we took on the old historical part of Las Vegas call the Freemont Street Experience, which is in between Binions Hotel and Casino and Golden Nugget Casino the road is closed and people are out in the evening dancing and having a great time, this is for all ages. I wouldn't recommend you brining the kids to Las Vegas they did try this a few years ago, but not worth it. This is the adult great time though.

Description of what is in the video.

Glittering lights. Stunning visual and sound effects. Crowds of people.
Just another night on the Las Vegas Strip, right? Wrong.
Welcome to the Fremont Street Experience located in fabulous downtown Las Vegas. We had an awesome time was decorated for Halloween and had Bon Jovi playing and the videos of them from above. At the end of the Bon Jovi Concert for those of us who remember from the late 70s early 80s the Rocky Horror Picture Show and I remember as a teenager going to the midnight showing of this and taking part in re-enactments as the movie went on, we sang and danced in the audience.

Getting back to this event though, after the Bon Jovi Concert, they played from the Rocky Horror Picture Show "Let Do the Time Warp Again", it had pumpkins and skeletons animated on the screen plus other thing for Halloween.

This project blends vintage Las Vegas with high-tech wonder, live entertainment and more to create an attraction that rivals the famed Vegas Strip. It provides an intimate party atmosphere with a laid-back feel and a group of great casinos in close proximity to one another.

The most obvious and largest part of the Fremont Street Experience is the Viva Vision canopy and light show. The canopy towers 90 feet above the ground and spans the length of five football fields. Featuring more than 12 million LED modules and a 555,000-watt sound system, the light show attracts tourists and locals alike.

The first light show debuted in 1995. Nearly a decade later, the Viva Vision canopy had $17 million worth of upgrades. Today, the canopy offers 10 times higher resolution, resulting in clearer, sharper pictures. In addition, it can also display 16.7 million color combinations. The display is so sharp, live video can be broadcast on what is the world's largest screen.

Viva Vision features shows like "Bad to the Bone," a wild motorcycle ride with the bad boys of rock as well as "A Tribute to Queen," where visitors can listen to "We Will Rock You" and "We Are the Champions" while admiring the stunning graphics above. Fans of KISS can also catch the show "KISS Over Vegas." During this tribute to the legendary foursome, visitors can rock to hits like "Lick It Up," "Shout It Out Loud" and "Rock 'n' Roll All Night."

The newest addition to Viva Vision is "Bon Jovi's Cosmic Concert." This show features three songs selected by Jon Bon Jovi including "It's My Life," "Who Says You Can't Go Home" and "Livin' on a Prayer." Using Jon Bon Jovi's original concept, the band performs their iconic songs traveling across the universe.
