Thank you Bibi:

Yes we are all quite aware of our brothers and sisters out in Colorado. In fact, many of the NFB family from around the country were out visiting the Colorado Center for the Blind to celebrate its 25th Anniversary.

Thank you for letting us know about the guide dog team, I am sure NAGDU would want to hear about it as well, so please post to the NAGDU list.

Anahit LaBarre is also part of the division, she is the 1st lady of Colorado. She also owns her own travel agency out there.

Being from NY, I was speaking to Carl Jacobsen yesterday, I booked his airfare to Colorado Springs, since he is the National Rep for that state convention which is October 18-20, please if you all can, listen in on the other state conventions that will be streaming online.

I know that ours in NY is and information will be posted on the nfbny.org website, ours is October 4-6, I may have an opportunity to talk about the division. I will also have a table at our convention.

Please make sure when you are at your state conventions that you talk about the divisions and what we are working on.

More information, we will get more interested people in the division.

I will also be sending out an e-mail to Anahit and Scott LaBarre, wishing them our prayers.

Have a beautiful day!

> Hi, all,
> I'm sure many have been hearing about the Colorado Floods which started up last Wednesday and unfortunately, today as well.
> Odie and I were locked up safely in our apartment on thie third floor.
> But after having to stay indoors, he has a big, amount of excessive energy, despite he's almost ten years old.
> Happily, we got out and did some traveling Friday where my father helped me out with one errand and the library part, I did on my own.
> My medical alert partner and I were able to get to the bowling alley and I did league practice.
> We did have a guide dog team here in Colorado which found themselves in trouble and became stranded in flood waters here in Denver, County, Colorado.
> Thankfully with the help of a Denver police officer, I'm happy to report both handler and dog are safe.
> If I have a chance, I will find that article and post it, but only if the list owner lets me know it's okay to do so.
> If not, then I'll respect her wishes.
> I haven't connected with anyone as far as ACB/NFB as of yet, but hope to find out if all blind are accounted for.
> I can hhandle slow, steady rain, but not flooding, hail, lightning, thunder or tornadic winds.
> I do hope that everything settles down here soon so Odie and I can get out to do some more traveling in town, lots of walking so we can stay exercised.
> HOpe everyone and four-legged furry partners are doing well and kept safe.
> Bibi and loving son Odie
