Hi, Cheryl and everyone!  I recently signed up with Outside Agents, and I
couldn't be happier!  One of the owners and I communicate frequently, and
he's VERY open to making sure that things are accessible for blind agents.
There are definitely some issues, but it's refreshing to work with someone
who actually takes those issues seriously!

A good example of this.  Last week I started with the on-demand training.
Their Flash player isn't accessible with a screen reader.  I didn't know the
technical details of how to fix it, so I pointed them in the direction of
the info for creating accessible Flash content.  Chad is looking into
including download links for each one.  Meanwhile, given the fact that I'm a
bit of a geek, I figured out that if I view the source code and do a search
for the .swf extension, I can locate the URL for the actual stream.  I've
been pasting these into a Word document for future reference, and also for
any new visually impaired agents who need them.  I've been able to open the
streams in Winamp.  While I can't rewind or fast forward or pause that way,
it's at least a workable temporary solution.  One of the smarter and more
tech-savvy folks on this list may have an easier solution... Meanwhile,
whatever I learn during the process, I'm more than happy to pass along to
others!  I'm a firm believer in paying it forward! <Smile>  One thing I
haven't had much luck with yet is posting to the forum... That process looks
to be a nightmare, but I've definitely drawn it to Chad's attention.  Taking
it one step at a time! <Smile>  Take care!
