I thought since there was much going on this week, that I would post my weekly blog here for those that are interested.
It talks about the local area of Islip Airport and the opportunity to visit Long Island when in NY, verses just going into NY City, there is so much to do in NY.
This also gives an idea to those that might be interested in getting involved in there local community, you do not have to be a business to be part of your Chamber of Commerce.
As well to those, that are looking into this profession what might you be doing besides just working on the computer all day, this is not a stay a home job, it is a home based business.
Enjoy!

============================================================Brentwood Chamber of Commerce LogoUpdates on Long Island MacArthur Airport
On February 26, 2014, we attending the monthly BrentwoodChamber of Commerce Meeting. The meeting was our Annual "Status of the Town".
Brentwood is part of the Town of Islip, where the Long Island MacArthur Airport is located. It has been there for almost 20 years now, and for the most part it has only been a regional-domestic airport. The airlines that were using the airport were Southwest and USAir; in 2013 they added Allegiant Air which goes non-stop to Ft. Myers, FL, and more recently PenAir a subsidiary of Alaska Airlines, has been flying non-stop to Boston.
We were informed by Honorable Steven J. Flotteron, Councilman and Honorable John C. Cochrane Jr., Councilman, that Islip has the security to become an international hub and are looking at attracting services to the Caribbean and other destinations from the Long Island Region.
MacArthur Airport has the same footprint as LaGuardia Airport in Queens, NY, and can save a lot of time and energy. There is also shuttle service to those who would like to take the train on the Long Island Rail Road to Ronkonkoma. A lot of growth for us here on Long Island, and to increase tourism for our part of NY.
We out here in Suffolk County have some great places for peopel to enjoy, such as the wineries, beaches, theme parks, farms, entertainment and so much more!
Stayed tuned for future updates on the Long Island Region.
