your  state, that is historical

I live in Washington, D C.
I would love to go and visit George Washington's home at Mount Vernon. This is located in Virginia just across the Potomac River, but within rush hour traffic of the d c area.  It has history of a time when there was unity as well as division within this country. And shows how much work people had to do to live in a way that was comfortable for them at that time. Like farming and weaving your own fabric from plants, and making your own clothes.
