Good afternoon everyone:

Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Our last teleconference meeting will be held on Tuesday, December 8th at 7pm
Eastern Time.

All are welcome to attend, especially our paid members.

I have to be the bad person right now. We have had meetings since the
National Convention, none of our members have attended at all.

I will be discussing changes for the 2016 year, and the National Convention,
which the dates and location should be released in the December Braille
Monitor.

If you want to be part of this division and work hard at the issues, we have
been working on. Such as working with some members outside of our division
about Greyhound.

Still having issues with airlines websites.

Fundraising opportunities, since our trip in 2016 to New York State was a
bust because of lack of people involved in making this a go after it was
voted on by the membership at National Convention in July.

We also need help with Facebook, Twitter, our website. I refuse to do it all
anymore.

Members need to be involved and work in committees to make this division
stronger or the division will die.

LET'S GO BUILD THE FEDERATION.

Sincerely,

Cheryl Echevarria, President

National Federation of the Blind's Travel and Tourism Division

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the
characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the
expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles
between blind people and our dreams. You can have the life you want;
blindness is not what holds you back.
