Good evening all NFB Travel & Tourism Members:

We will starting our 2015/2016 year on September 22, 2015 at 8pm Eastern
Time for our Monthly Division Conference call.

That number is (641) 715-3273 and the access code is 871517#, please be on
time.

We will be having a guest, Mary Yohannan from Life is Better Traveling, the
company that is doing our 2016 New York State Experience Trip Fundraiser.

If you are planning on attending the trip or have people you are inviting,
we need to hear from you, please respond to this email by responding to
travelandtourism at nfbnet.org <mailto:travelandtourism at nfbnet.org> do not
reply to me directly, all of you should be on the talk list by now.

We have opened this trip to the public. Also, Mary, has posted information
to her clients and on her website. She has interested people wanting to go,
but, we need to ask all our friends and family to go. You all have email,
because you are getting this information. They do not have to be blind to
go, or be NFB members, etc.

This is the 2nd year in a row, that you the division have voted on trips,
and no one worked to get people to go.

If we are going to do the things to make the travel industry better for
blind people, whether it is local bus, trains, planes, or other travel, then
we need money to do this. If we don't, then we cannot.

This is not a me me me division, this is a we and us division.

There is only a few days left to get money in, please be at the meeting to
get the updates and other things we are working on for the year.

Sincerely,

Cheryl Echevarria, President

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the
characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the
expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles
between blind people and our dreams. You can have the life you want;
blindness is not what holds you back.
