the natural next question is "what do you like to do," and if your answer is
"anything new and interesting," it's hard to get anything helpful out of
people, and if you are too specific, what you want may not exist or not be a
choice for the location. I could easily ask everyone, from flight attendants
to a hotel concierge to taxi drivers, about my big three - what bodies of
water are around here, and what is there to do on or near it, what forms of
transportation are here, and where can I go to hear good local music. Don't
be too rigid - of course if something  doesn't meet your categories, don't
refrain from doing it, but if you can find categories like mine, but that
work for you, you are sure to enjoy your time.
