[Travelandtourism] Best Airlines to travel with guide dogs

Thank you all for the great suggestions.

Based on your responses, it seems that traveling with a Guide Dog is pretty similar between Australia and the USA. One thing that caught my attention is assigned seats. Here in Australia when traveling with a Guide Dog you are seated just behind business class for the extra space, and you are assigned an extra seat for the floor space for your Guide Dog. Is this practice observed by most airlines over there as well?

Thanks again for all your help.
kind regards
Santi

> Hi, Santi! In the U.S., I travel with Southwest as much as I can. You're allowed to check a couple of bags for free, and they often have some great rates. It's been years since I traveled with a guide dog, but they were always very accommodating! There are no assigned seats, so you may want to pre-board. I know people have mixed feelings about doing that, but I always have, and I probably always will! <LOL> Have a great day... And happy travels to you and your buddy! <Smile>
