I'm reaching out to get your feedback. My husband and I will be travelling into London LHR the end of August into the first week of September. I have a guide dog that will be with us as well. We had planned to stay in London for the first 4 nights and then on to Bath, somewhere in Wales, up to Edinburgh, down to York, and the last night back in London. Do any of you have experience travelling to those destinations and have any recommendations, blind friendly, or just general? We talked about renting a car for part of that, but are also open to trains and other transit, which is more our norm. You'll certainly have no problem getting from Edinburgh through York and onto London. That's all one line and the trains are direct. London to Bath would also be direct. Quite what would happen then would depend on where in Wales you were going. Anywhere in Wales to Edinburgh won't be straight forward and will necessitate a few changes, but that's probably not going to be particularly easy whichever form of transport you use. The only problem with trains is that it may now be rather expensive as they tend to be cheaper the further out you book, so renting a car may prove more economical though it'll mean your husband has quite a lot of driving to do.
