Subject: Time sensitive! Knowbility seeks K-12 students with visual
impairments for Testing Platform study
Importance: High

Knowbility is in the last week of recruitment for a usability/accessibility
study of an online computer based testing platform. If, you are a middle
school or high school student this is your opportunity to speak your mind
about usability/accessibility and get $50.00 of spending money in the form
of a gift card!

We need a few more middle school or high school students to participate.
You would be evaluating and providing feedback on a computer based online
testing platform. Study participants will receive a $50.00 gift card for
participating. Assessment times are approximately one hour.

The study will be conducted at the Knowbility office: 3925 W. Braker Lane,
Austin TX 78759.

There will be a laptop running Windows 7 and an iPad available at the study
location for students to use. The following assistive technologies will also
be available: JAWS V15, Window-Eyes 8X, ZoomText V10X, as well as any of the
built-in assistive technologies provided by the specified systems. This
means that students that use the above assistive technologies do not need to
bring their own assistive technology to the study. However, if a student is
more comfortable using their own device or uses a different type of
assistive technology device or software; they are welcome to bring it and
use it during the study.

The target participant would be between twelve and twenty-two years of age,
attending middle school or high school, reasonably able to follow basic
instructions, able to provide feedback as to their experience, and students
with multiple disabilities will be accepted for participation. Student
participants should be able to operate their assistive technology device or
software at an intermediate level, (minimal instruction needed for AT
operation(.

The remaining available times to participate are: Friday 2/21 - 11:00 am,
1:00 pm, 3:00 pm, 5:00 pm and Saturday 2/21 - 11:00 am, and 1:00 pm.

For more information or to schedule you can contact me by phone at: (512)
305-0201 or via email: Jeanine at knowbility.org. If you contact me via email;
please include your phone number for scheduling purposes. I will call and we
can discuss details over the phone. No drop in participants will be accepted
into this study! Due to the confidentiality needs of the study as well as
the participants, all participants must call to be scheduled and answer a
few questions. These questions are to ensure that the participants and/or
their parent/guardian has all the necessary information.

Following the phone call, if the participant is scheduled for the study, a
confirmation email will be sent to the study participant and/or his or her
parent/guardian. The confirmation email will include the date and time of
the assessment, directions to the assessment location, a consent form that
must be signed and returned at the time of the assessment, along with any
other details deemed necessary.

Feel free to share this announcement on your other social media networks.
