Greetings everyone,
This is a reminder regarding the call about SB208 and HB3294 hosted by
the Texas Association of Blind Students. See the below message from
Gabe Cazares.
I look forward to talking to you all tonight.
Thanks
Bre Brown
Secretary, Texas Association of Blind students
Howdy TABSters and Federation Family,
We need your help to move SB208 and HB3294. I’m certain all of you
have seen the messages Norma has been sending out regarding written
comments to both the Natural Resources and Economic Development,
(Senate,) and Economic and Small Business Development, (House)
committees.
Since the improvement of vocational rehabilitation services would
directly impact the services blind consumers receive, I am requesting
the full engagement of the Texas Association of Blind Students for the
final push. Tomorrow evening, Thursday Apr. 23, 2015 at 7:00 PM TABS
will be hosting an informational call for all blind students. This
call will focus on the latest updates from our legislative efforts,
and will also provide attendees with action items they can take to
support us in this move. I urge you to attend, if you are a student,
(k-12 or higher education,) and have a vocational rehabilitation
counselor, we need your engagement.

Dial in: 605-475-4000
Code 468803
I look forward to full engagement, particularly from students, on
tomorrow’s call. Members that are not students, please feel free to
attend. Although the focus of our meeting will be the student
perspective to this move, you may find some valuable information
regarding written comments, since that is a project the entire
affiliate is participating in.
Best,
...Gabe
