Below is an announcement of a conference some may find of interest.

AER-VA Conference on Visual Impairments and Blindness

A conference for  all parents, teachers, vocational counselors, rehab teachers, O&M instructors, and all others who work with the Blind and Visually Impaired.

Waynesboro, VA March 11-13.
Registration Deadline, Feb. 27th.  Hotel rooms must be reserved by Feb. 10th to ensure conference rate.

We have some very exciting Keynote Speakers!!!

March 11-13th - Dr. Christine Roman, renowned expert in Cortical Visual Impairments (CVI), will be presenting ongoing continuing sessions (not repeat) for the full 2 1/2 days on CVI.

Also we have---
Wednesday March 11th, Dr. David Hartman, noted Blind psychiatrist will be presenting on the social and
psychological impact of blindness and visual impairment.

J Rose Plaxen, Author of Adapt My World, who will talk about Homemade Adaptations for People with Disabilities. For more information about J. Rose Plaxen and her book, you can visit her website at adaptmyworld.org.

Rebecca Coakley, Director, University of West Virginia Childrens Rehabilitation Project. Noted speaker with the American Foundation of the Blind, will be speaking about Low Vision Rehabilitation.

Dan Oates, Space Camp will be talking about Space Camp for the Blind and Vision Impaired.

Anna Swenson, Will be sharing her knowledge about how to better instruct beginning braille students.

Thursday, March 12th:

Dr. Christian Carter, Pediatric Ophthalmologist, will be sharing with us his knowledge on Septo-optic Dysplasia.
