[VABS] Convention Luncheon and Elections

Good Evening VABS

 

I have been contacted by NFB of Virginia state president, Tracy Soforenko,
about the VABS luncheon. Many of you may know that the VABS luncheon is
where our business meeting and elections take place. This is usually the
highlight of our programming because we select our new leadership during
this event and can meet many people we may not get to see regularly during
the year. This year, our luncheon is on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at
12:15pm in the Westin Tyson's Corner. We are looking at food options and are
stuck with two choices. 

 

1.	Hotel Pizza: Traditionally we provide pizza for all the students.
Usually this pizza is in mass supply because we order take out and have it
brought to the hotel. However, this year pizza can only be brought from the
hotel because they have rules that we cannot eat outside food in their
meeting rooms. This means that there won't be an abundance of it. It will be
available, just not in the large amount that we are used to.
2.	Boxed Lunches: The vendors provide all other convention attendees
with the option to buy a boxed lunch. This lunch will consist of sandwich,
drink, chips, and fruit or some type of cookie usually. The division can
pick up their boxed lunches with the general population and eat it at the
luncheon since it is provided by the hotel. 

Please let me know what you think is better for the division and which you
would like to have. I need to have an answer to Tracy by Tuesday.
