VABS

I have been receiving a lot of emails from confused members (and board
members) about how the panel discussions will work on Saturday, November 4,
2017. This email will be the final, complete explanation of the discussions,
who the panelists are, and who is moderating.

First, let's explain this. The panel discussions will take place after our
business meeting and brunch on Saturday at 1:30pm. During this time, we will
have a series of discussions where VABS members and other students will be
able to share experiences about important topics for students and answer any
questions that people will have. There will be a moderator for the
discussions because the first 10 minutes of the discussion will consist of
pre-programmed questions to give students a little bit of background. After
the moderator gets the panelists to respond, the moderator will then open
the floor up to questions. It is during that time that members can ask
panelists questions. Now, I will detail each discussion:

Discussion 1: Netiquette and Effective Communication

Time: 1:30pm

Panelists: Christopher Nusbaum, Naim Abu El-Hawa, and Elaina Crew

Moderator: Robert Parsons

Discussion 2: Pressures of College and High School

Time: 2pm

Panelists: Michael Munn, Kinston Walker, and Andrea Perry

Moderator: Naim Abu El-Hawa

Discussion 3: AIM High and Our Legislative Efforts

Time: 2:30pm

Panelists: Robert Parsons, Kathryn Webster, Elaina Crew

Moderator: Andrea Perry

Discussion 4: Training and its Benefits

Time: 3pm

Panelists: Christopher Nusbaum, Marc Canamaso, and Domonique Lawless

Moderator: Oscar Montiel

Discussion 5: The Network of the Federation

Time: 3:30pm

Panelists: Kathryn Webster, Luke Schwinck, Andrea Perry

Moderator: Kinston Walker

All moderators will be emailed with the questions to ask at the beginning of
the discussion shortly. If you are confused about anything let me know. If
you are listed as a panelist and now you realized you have a hair
appointment or something and you try to cancel I will eat your pizza at the
luncheon. I am looking forward to hanging with you all in 2 weeks.
