Good Morning VABS

With the winter and new year in full swing, one of the most important
seasons for blind students is in full effect, scholarship season. The
National Federation of the Blind awards 30 college scholarships to students
based off different criteria. With the most competitive application process
around, we in VABS understand how challenging and daunting the task of
applying may be. For this reason, we are prepared to provide an incentive
for you to complete the scholarship application.

Any blind student that completes the application for the national
scholarship by February 15, 2018 will be entered a drawing for $50 cash.
This amount will be awarded to students that are finished with the
application only, a task that VABS can certify. Simply complete the
application, forward the confirmation email to Robert Parsons, President of
VABS at rob.parso3389 at gmail.com <mailto:rob.parso3389 at gmail.com> , and set
an interview date with Tracy Soforenko, NFBV President, to be entered the
drawing. The live drawing will take place on our Facebook page live on
February 15 at 12pm. If you are not a member of the VABS Facebook page,
please request to join. Simply search for "Virginia Association of Blind
Students" to find our page. I look forward to being notified of the many
applications and hope that you spread the word of this opportunity to both
members and nonmembers.

Best Regards
