[vendtalk] Talking credit card terminals

Kevan and merchants,

I explored the availability of talking credit card terminals when I first
opened my cafe at the metro courthouse in Nashville. Unfortunately, the
only such terminal that was being produced, had been discontinued for some
time. To my knowledge, there is not currently another such terminal on the
market. Right now I am using a basic push button terminal with no feedback
to speak of. I have run into problems with data entry errors and the only
way to find them is to ask the customer to verify their receipt, which most
of them are in too big a hurry to do, or have a sighted employee review my
report at the close of business. I then have to match the transaction up
with the register's journal and make any changes to the batch.
