There are two options that I am aware of:
1. Hypercom Model No: T 7 Plus
(Science Products Catalog Number 1310)
This is a stand alone terminal and costs around $1,900This is available
through Captech and requires pre-installation of "Merchant Warehouse Credit
Processing Software".
Option 2. A more integrated solution tied to a talking cash register. Uses
data cap with requirement for Era 520 Sharp cash register. Cannot remember
the exact cost of the package but it was quite prohibitive (around $5,000
when I last checked several months ago.
(Science Products catalog number for Data Cap: 8965)

Kevan and merchants,
I explored the availability of talking credit card terminals when I first
opened my cafe at the metro courthouse in Nashville. Unfortunately, the
only such terminal that was being produced, had been discontinued for some
time. To my knowledge, there is not currently another such terminal on the
market. Right now I am using a basic push button terminal with no feedback
to speak of. I have run into problems with data entry errors and the only
way to find them is to ask the customer to verify their receipt, which most
of them are in too big a hurry to do, or have a sighted employee review my
report at the close of business. I then have to match the transaction up
with the register's journal and make any changes to the batch.
