September 4, 2014--Hadley School for the Blind and the National Association of Blind Merchants, today, announced the next exciting interactive webinar. The online training event will be held September 18, 2014, 2:00 p.m. Central Time.

Join Biztalk as Terry Smith, from National Federation of the Blind Entrepreneurs' Initiative, discusses the requirement under the Randolph-Sheppard Act that the Elected Committee of Blind Vendors actively participate in all major administrative decisions affecting the state's Business Enterprise Program.

The concept of active participation is often misunderstood and can be a source of great friction between blind vendors and state licensing agencies. This webinar will examine what active participation is and how to make it work in your state. It will also look at what active participation is not. The presenter is Terry C. Smith, National Federation of the Blind Entrepreneur's Initiative.
Colleen Wunderlich, director of the Forsythe Center for Employment and Entrepreneurship at Hadley, will moderate this 90-minute webinar. A question and answer session will follow the presentation.

This is the fourth in a series of webinars sponsored by the National Association of Blind Merchants and Hadley School for the Blind. Learn more about our webinars and our Entrepreneur of Excellence program at www.blindmerchants.org<http://www.blindmerchants.org>.
