Announcing additional dynamic training added to Lone Star BLAST line up

Colorado Springs, CO (September 12, 2014): Today, The National Association of Blind Merchants<http://www.blindmerchants.org/>, a division of the National Federation of the Blind<http://www.nfb.org/>, announced that they have added additional upward mobility training content to an already star-studded Business Leadership and Superior Training line up. Lone Star BLAST attendees should plan to be inspired by a keynote address from Steve Farber on Thursday, November 19. Mr. Farber is the president of Extreme Leadership, Incorporated, a Los Angeles based organization devoted to the cultivation and development of extreme leaders in the business community. His latest book, Greater Than Yourself: The Ultimate Lesson In Leadership, was a Wall Street Journal(r) and USA Today(r) bestseller. Farber says, "Approach the act of leadership as you'd approach an extreme sport: learn to love the fear and exhilaration that naturally comes with the territory."

The organizers have also added seminars to be taught by Professor and CEO Ben White, Vending Insights, on Tuesday afternoon, September 18 and Thursday afternoon, September 20; "Clean, Filled, and Working: Walking through a productive vend visit."

In addition, conference organizers have added "iPhone training for beginners", and a session for more advanced users, on Tuesday and Thursday afternoon during the conference. These seminars will be taught by popular presenter J.J. Meddaugh, CEO A.T. Guys. A.T. Guys based in Kalamazoo, Michigan, bills itself as "Your assistive technology experts". Mr. Meddaugh is able to bring tips and tricks to iPhone users regardless of their level of experience. He is an active member of the National Federation of the Blind and an entrepreneur on the move.

Nicky Gacos, President, National Association of Blind Merchants, said, "We are extremely proud to add this new content. When we released our preliminary agenda<http://www.blindmerchants.org/blast/blast-2014-countdown/lone-star-blast-2014-preliminary-agenda> last month some thought that the line up of entertainment and upward mobility training could not get any better. But these additions will bring even more options to blind entrepreneurs in or out of the Randolph-Sheppard world. And with this team of organizers, I would not be surprised to see even more exciting sessions added to this year's BLAST line up."

Again this year, BLAST registration will be $200. Remember that the BLAST registration fee covers BLAST activities, excluding out of hotel tours or events which may be offered. Registration fee covers training, training materials, Welcoming Reception, Leadership Breakfast, Trade show and Trade show Reception, the lunch-and-learn as well as the banquet to be held on Thursday evening, November 20.
