[Youth-outreach] Background Checks

Youth Coordinators,
If you coordinate a mentoring program (which can include less formal
programs), you can get background checks done for $18 at SafetyNet. The
states that participate in our National Center for Mentoring Excellence
use this. SafetyNet is a pilot program that has been developed in
partnership with the FBI to offer organizations a more accessible and
affordable way to get background checks. The reason SafetyNet is used by
a lot of programs is that it has a national scope, so it is more likely
to detect criminal offenses in other states. Here is the link:
