Hi, all,
I thought this RFP looked interesting. There are a lot of opportunities
for our youth to do service learning projects and give back to the
community. I also wanted you all to be aware of the forum where the
article is located. It looks like they're going to post other funding
opportunities.
Treva

This RFP from State Farm's Youth Advisory Board may be of interest to
mentoring programs with a strong school-based service-learning
component. For details, see the announcement on the mentoring forums at:
http://mentoringforums.nwrel.org/forum/15
<http://mentoringforums.nwrel.org/forum/15> For those not familiar with
it, State Farm's Youth Advisory Board is composed of 30 youth, ages 17
-20, that oversee State Farm's $5,000,000 service learning initiative.
Youth on the board are selected each summer through an application and
interview process. Applications for the 2010-11 Youth Advisory Board
will be available June 30, 2010, and might be a great leadership
opportunity for some of your youth!
