[Youth-outreach] Hello

Hi all you new list-goers,
Welcome to the listserv for Youth Outreach. My apologies for
not replying to these postings earlier this week. I have had some email
trouble. In any case, I would like to welcome all of you. This was a
list created my the education team at the NFB Jernigan Institute
initially as a way to keep in contact with designated individuals from
each state who were primarily responsible for their states' youth
outreach efforts. Our goal through this list is the connect those
individuals interested in furthering the NFB's efforts to work with
blind youth.
This list is designed to help each of us share resources,
advice, and provide encouragement. It also serves as a way for us here
to disseminate information to all of you related to programs or
resources on which the NFBJI is working. So, with that, good luck in
your efforts and please feel free to call upon this list for ideas or
advice as you work to help those young blind individuals out there
become a part of our movement.

Sincerely,
Mary Jo Thorpe

Well technically, it has been around for a while, but was a "private"
list much of the time, just connecting some key people. Recently though
it was made public, and publicized, so is a new list for all intents and
purposes.
