FYI. I get a lot of questions about this. Here's a resource for those of
you who have mentoring as part of your programs.

MENTOR to Host Webinar on Matching Mentors and Mentees from the new
Elements of Effective Practice for Mentoring(TM)

What criteria should my program use when matching mentors/mentees? How
can I make matches that are sustainable long-term? What should be
documented on the initial match meetings? What matching resources are
available? If these are any of your questions, please join MENTOR for a
webinar on the Fourth Standard--Matching from the Elements of Effective
Practice for Mentoring(TM), Third Edition (EEPM). This webinar will
guide participants on the updated standard and provide background on the
research that was used as the basis for the benchmark.

The Webinar Series, Standard 4: Matching--Making the Match will be held
on Thursday, December 9, 2010 and will feature Amber Troupe, Mentor
Michigan Director. Amber will share matching best practices and
resources to support programs with their matching process. Kristi
Zappie-Ferradino of MENTOR will discuss the research that was used to
support the training benchmarks and provide a practical perspective on
how you can incorporate the research findings into your matching
practices.

Thanks to the generosity of the MetLife Foundation the webinar is free
to attend. However, attendees will need to use their long distance
carrier for the audio portion of the call unless they use VOIP through
their computer. Space is limited, so register today:

Standard 4: Matching Benchmarks--December 9, 2010, 1:00 - 2:30 pm, EST.
