Dear List Members,
Recently we've subscribed more of our members who work with youth
programs in our affiliates. It is great that we have so many of you
interested in helping to build our affiliate youth programs!

The purpose of the Youth-Outreach listserv is to facilitate discussions
among NFB members interested in building youth outreach programs in
their chapters and affiliates. The listserve will be used as a forum for
sharing information, resources, and ideas. This listserv will help
generate innovative approaches to inspiring and engaging blind youth and
will build a community of those interested in improving opportunities
for youth through the NFB.

In recent months, there has been very little activity on this list, but
this is a great resource that we can use to help each other plan youth
programs. This is a time when many of us are planning youth programs, so
I want to start sharing ideas about what we have done. We can talk about
what we're planning, what worked, and what we might change.

For example, during the MD state convention, on Oct 23, the Maryland
Parents of blind Children has planned a walking tour of Annapolis for
our youth, ages 9-18.

What does your affiliate have planned for youth during your state
convention?

I look forward to hearing all of your ideas!

Warmest Regards,

Treva
