Just received this email and wanted to share it with. It is a great way to donate $25 to an organization that supports people with blindness.  NFB Your State or NFB Nationally or another organization you feel could use the help.  They need our help so why don't we share the knowledge we have with them.

Dear Catherine,

If you are blind or you know someone who is blind please take a few moments to read this message.  A little over a year ago, we launched a clinical study to evaluate a potential treatment for Non-24-Hour Sleep-Wake Disorder.  Non-24 is a chronic sleep disorder that affects approximately 50% of individuals who are totally blind. Their inability to perceive light causes a severe disruption of the 24-hour sleep-wake pattern causing cyclical bouts of nighttime sleeplessness and excessive daytime fatigue and napping. The disorder can make it extremely difficult to do well in school, hold down a job or have satisfying relationships.  

The enrollment deadline for our clinical research study is forthcoming. Without enough patients in the study, it will be difficult to develop a treatment for this severe condition. Vanda appreciates any assistance you can give in spreading awareness about Non-24. For every person who completes our sleep survey, we will donate $25 to an organization that supports people with blindness.  In the past year we have been able to donate over $30,000 to various organizations across the country.  See below the announcement about this survey and our study.
