Below is an announcement of a new list for tactile art and artists,
and how to subscribe. This new list will be replacing this list.

David Andrews, List Owner

The National Federation of the Blind (NFB) Tactile Arts and Tactile
Graphics Specialist (TAGS) Group has conducted three successful
Tactile Arts Symposia that demonstrated that blind people can
appreciate the fine arts and benefit from the use of graphical
information when nonvisual access is taken into consideration. The
first took place at the NFB Jernigan Institute, the second was hosted
in Boulder Colorado with assistance from the Colorado Center for the
Blind, and the third was hosted at the Enchanted Hills camp of the
San Francisco Lighthouse. Ann Cunningham and Debbie Kent Stein serve
as co-chairpersons of the TAGS group, and they have helped coordinate
the symposia to develop tools, disseminate strategies, and share best
practices that make fine art and graphical information accessible,
enjoyable, and effective for blind people. We encourage interested
individuals to join the TAGS group by subscribing to the Tactile Arts
and Tactile Graphics Specialist (TAGS) list. To subscribe to the TAGS
list you can either go to:
