[blindkid] Sitting Tolerance

When we flew home with Winona they scheduled our flights at night. We did all we could to keep her awake from 8 to 10pm, encouraged walking around the airport, etc. Once we got on the plane and they turned down the lights, she was out. When we reached our midpoint, we again had Winona moving around the airport. The flight again left at 10pm (magic of time zones!). She didn't sleep as much, but everytime she woke up we walked in the aisles (no squeaky shoes!) or the flight attendants were offering her ice cream. I had brought a bunch of little moveable toys, but didn't even get them out.

Subject: [blindkid] Sitting Tolerance

Hi All - We are currently in India adopting our 5 year old son. Things are
going much better than anticipated. However, he does have little to no
sitting tolerance, meaning he does not like to sit still for any length of
time. We know this not unusual for little kids but we are coming up on a 24
hour flight back to the US and we have to figure out some action plan. Does
anyone have any suggestions on things we can do in the short and long term
to improve his ability to sit in one place. Thanks for a quick reply!
