[blindkid] IEPs

Thank you Sally.

Anyone else have any suggestions about what they think 4th graders should be doing in general? I would be happy hear about it. I've just requested the cirriculum for 4th grade from the school district to be able to review over the next few weeks so I can prepare for his IEP.

I know everyone is different, but it helps to hear what your 4th graders are or were doing to be able to reinforce expectations at school. I can tell them that this is what I'd like to see him doing, but if I can say that there is/was a 4th grader doing this they may start to believe in the possibility that my son can too instead of thinking it's too hard or too complicated or not being able to imagine how he could accomplish it. I've already layed ground work of needing to step up expectations and how I need them expecting from Isaiah the exact same things they are expecting from the rest of their students. How we get from where things are at right now to that place is what I think I need to lay out for them.
