[blindkid] Louis Braille Commemorative Silver Dollar Coin Question

I received a brochure from the US Mint on the Louis Braille Silver Dollar. It actually shows 3 coins. BR1 Proof Silver Dollar which I was told at the coin launch is more of a collector's coin [Google "Proof Coin" and you'll find a better definition]. We were told that if you plan on handling the coin you should get the BR2 Uncirculated Sliver Dollar. The brochure also has a BR3 which appears to be the same as the BR2 but comes in an Easy-Open Capsule. The BR2 we bought is encased in a plastic capsule that is very hard to open.

Subject: [blindkid] Louis Braille Commemorative Silver Dollar Coin Question

Hi Everyone,

I went to the US Mint site to order a Louis Braille Commemorative Silver Dollar Coin, but there are several options at different prices (http://catalog.usmint.gov/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CategoryDisplay?langId=-1&storeId=10001&catalogId=10001&identifier=4000).

Can someone clarify what the difference is between a Louis Braille Bicentennial Proof Silver Dollar (BR1) &  Louis Braille Bicentennial Uncirculated Silver Dollar (BR2)?

Thanks

Eric V
