We use the Flipper by Enhanced Vision.  It's great but not that portable.  I would suggest one for school and one for home.  But my boys attend public school so the county pays for both.

Hi All!

We are likely sending Adison to a non public school. After meeting with the
superintendant from the school district, they have suggested a portable CCtv
that she can take from school to school and home.  This piece of equipment was
reccommended in a recent low vision eval. Any input on the type we should at
least make a request for? I had heard mention of one type that has a camera that
projects what is on the board to the child's desk.
