Janet,
My daughter took the PSAT's this past fall. She is a large print reader and is in the beginning stages of learning braille so she took the large print PSAT. Hopefully, your son's couselor has already applied to College Board for approval of his accomodations. I "assumed" that the accomodations listed in the ARD were sufficient, but learned that the SAT (along with ACT) accomodations are seperate. For all other parents, please apply early (months) ahead as it takes a long time to receive the approval. We were told that Kayleigh could not use any device that required electricity. Of course we learned this at the last minute and scrambled to find a light box (to use with her graphing calculator) that used batteries for the math portion of the test. Her TBS had a handful of batteries to reload if neccessary. She was not able to use her laptop either. Sorry, but I don't have any information on the braille formatted test.

My son will be taking the PSAT next year (10th grade). He is a braille reader,
uses mpower and pc. His VI teacher has started researching what is available in
adapted format. Any advice regarding the exam itself and preparation for the
exam would be appreciated.
thanks
Janet
