Okay, Richard, every typist I know who looks at the keys wishes that they
were better at not looking at the keys. Feeling Braille as one types is the
best way to slow down the whole process. I learned to type in fourth grade
at the blind school. No JAWS or anything else. Perhaps starting her out on a
"typewriter," would help her understand a little better where the keys are.
The other thing is that no one is ever fast at first. It just takes
practice. Sorry to be so bold but I really think you are doing her a
disservice by buying a Braille key board. Of course, when you get the
keyboard, you may find that the Braille is not to Kendra's liking anyway.
Good luck.
Bonnie
