                 Carlton is the mother of a nine year old blind daughter, serves 
as a Teacher of Students who are Blind/Visually Impaired and holds National 
Certification Literary Braille. She is also a licensed attorney who maintains a 
small solo practice. Carlton serves as Second Vice President of the National 
Organization Parents of Blind Children, and as a board member on the 
Pennsylvania Advisory Committee for Blind Persons
