[blindkid] HAPPY DANCE! National Convention Orlando Many Yearsto Come

Makes sense. Seems sort of ironic that the last west coast location was next to Disneyland.

I think these room rates are amazing. Sometimes we stop in route on longer drives for a night. Dallas, for example, is supposed to be 12 hours from us, but it takes us more like 14 or 16 (small kids mean lots of stops for us). We often end up spending nearly double the rate for a convention room when we stop for a night on the way and this in generally a much less snazzy place.

I also heard that about repeat locations. More specifically, that Atlanta and Dallas (and I think also Kentucky) offered these "deal" rates when guaranteed three or more years at the locations. We apparently locked in to 4 years for Orlando up front as well (they initially announced 2011, 13, 15, and 17 at the 2010 convention). There must be a great many factors to consider. (I'm glad I don't have to deal with such negotiations!)
