> Greetings Parents and fellow Federationist,
> I would like to share information about an exciting opportunity for our children. As part of their outreach and education program, Disney offers different presentations to schools and youth groups. I have been in contact with Disney’s Youth in Education Series (Disney’s YES) program and they have agreed to have a group of our students participate in one of their YES programs.
> What does this mean? Well, the students will explore the physics concept of mechanics at a selected Magic Kingdom® Park attraction. This interactive program casts students into the role of Theme Park scientists as they enjoy hands-on examinations and activities of the basic properties of force, motion and gravity. Our students will be exploring Splash Mountain. The program will take place on Friday July 8. 2011. All participants will meet at the ticket and Transportation Center at Magic Kingdom at 7:15 am. The program will last approximately three hours.
> As a member of the group, students can purchase three, four or five day passes to explore the many attractions that Walt Disney World have to offer. One chaperone per student will be able to purchase a discounted ticket. Group members do not have to visit the park at the same time. Tickets may be used seven days before or after the presentation. The only day that the group will need to be at the park together is on July 8th during the time of the presentation.
