[blindkid] Victor Reader Stream Question

Here is some help from my husband.

Richard,
The $vrdtb and $vrmusic folders should be able to hold up to four levels of
folders. I'm not sure about the $vr other books folder. In keeping with
your example, you could create a Harry Potter folder in the $vrdtb folder
and within that folder put the seven books each in it's own folder. You
would navigate the folder structure the same way you navigate heading levels
in a daisy book using the 2 and 8 keys to choose your desired level and the
4 and 6 keys to move between the books on that level. To give another
example, in my $vrmusic folder I have a John Mayor folder. Within that
folder which represents an artist I have a Battle Studdies, folder, a
Continuum folder and a Room For Squares folder which are all John Mayor
albums. Within each album folder are the tracks from that album. To
navigate I press 1 the bookshelf key multiple times until I get to music. I
press play/pause to enter that bookshelf and again to stop the music. At
this point I use 2 or 8 to make sure I am on level one. I use the 4 and 6
keys to move at that level with the stream announcing things like jazz, John
Mayor Lady Gaga and Roy Orbison. All of these artists have folders which
are at level 1. When I get to John Mayor I press the 8 key and the Stream
says "level two." Now pressing 4 or 6 moves me between Battle Studies,
Continuum and Room For Squares. When I am on the album that contains the
track I want to hear I press the 8 key again to move to level 3 where in
this example the 4 and 6 keys will move me from track to track with the
stream announcing the file names of the individual tracks like
"Gravity.mp3."
If i get on the John Mayor folder and keep pressing the 8 key, after the
stream says "level 4," it will say "file." In this mode pressing the 4 and
6 keys will move through all of the songs regardless of what folder they are
in as if there were no subfolders at all. Being on file rather than any of
the levels could be your problem.
