[blindkid] teacher gifts

Thanks for the ideas, keep 'em coming. Many of us could use them, I'm sure.

Carol, what a change from our elementary/middle school days!! The high school teacher is fabulous, she has made so many things happen for Winona, especially the Braille music.

I'm blessed this year to be in 2 classes with a blind student, and am able to intervene for her when the Braille teacher doesn't follow through. Hoping I've helped her learn to advocate for herself with the classroom teachers so she won't flounder over the next two years before she moves to high school.

We found a brass paperweight in the shape of a star once when we
wanted to give a meaningful gift to someone who really assisted with
school issues.  We brailled "You are a superstar" onto clear Dymotape
and pressed it on.
