in article is a link to an excel sheet of every grade level of reading
speed...these are the standards I  use (Jerry John standards so all schools
use them) for all my braille readers....if they started later in their
life, the speeds will be slower at first and it takes about 3 yrs of
concentrated daily GOOD instruction to get them to their grade level...that
is for later learners. If they have been learning from 3-5 yrs old, keeping
the standards are pretty easy....vying that the student has been getting
consistent and good instruction all the way along
