Hello everyone,
If you are a parent of a blind child, and you’re attending the NFB National Convention in Dallas next week, you might me interested in the following.

I’ll be attending the convention and I’m available to meet with any interested parents during the convention and discuss any issues that you’re having with your child’s education etc. I’m a qualified special education teacher and my passion is working in the area of early childhood, which I’ve done for over 30 years. I’ll be bringing some of my special toys so I can play with your child and get to know them. Then we can chat about ideas and methods to help you help your blind child meet the goals you have for them. Whether you have a new baby or you’re concerned about your kindergartener, I’d love to help. so, please feel free to come see me and ask questions, tell your story etc. Obviously, I make no guarantees but I can certainly give you some advice and ideas to try.

If you’d like to meet with me please email me by Wednesday night, or call me from Thursday afternoon on at the Hilton Anatole hotel. If you want to chat before then, you can call me on 615-790-9765. Making new friends is my favourite part of convention so I’m looking forward to this opportunity to meet you and your child.

Also, we’re planning to have a Sunday Discussion/get-together for anyone who is interested in discussing homeschooling and blind/vision impaired children. We don’t have a room yet but stay tuned. All interested parents, friends and family (including children) welcome.

Warmest regards,
Heather field
