Holly, you hit the nail right on the head when you were talking about
how your son "fatigues quickly."  That's the reason for JAWS right
there.  Another is that it's about half the price of a Braille
Display.  On the other hand, there's no such thing as too much
Braille-reading practice and that, of course would be why one would
want a Braille Display.  They're phantabulous.  As for all the other
reasons you listed for a netbook, that's exactly why I, myself would
go with the netbook.  You've got a million very, very good suggestions
here.  I particularly liked Robert Jaquis's take on the subject.  Take
it from the voice of experience!  He's a technology specialist at the
Center and I've sought his advice many a time and it's never lead me
down the wrong path.
