This webinar will present an overview of Assistive Technology (AT), its scope, and how AT can be used to remove barriers for individuals with disabilities in their daily living and educational environments. 
  
The legal mandates of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and IDEA as well as current trends in education have tended to move the need for AT to the forefront.  Consideration of the need for AT in the IEP process is something with which every parent should be familiar!  Too often if parents do not have the knowledge of what kinds of AT might be helpful to their child, they do not know to ask for it. 
  
Examples of different kinds of Assistive Technology will be shared and Pat will answer questions from participants.
