[blindkid] Ipad

I'm not sure if this helps much, but I'm able to type in edit fields using an iPad, Voiceover, and iOS 8. So I know it's possible. Not sure why it's not working for you. Were you able to type in edit fields in previous iOS versions?

Subject: Re: [blindkid] Ipad

I thought I would give an update on our latest with the issue of the Ipad/keyboard and the note taking.

1. Ipad with iOS 8.1.1: it looks like a bug with the the iOS and Voiceover. I have changed up the iPad (using a newer one) and the keyboard (using a brand new apple keyboard) and still get the same results, which is you cannot type in text edit mode in a text box when voice over is on using a bluetooth keyboard. If anyone has some settings I could look at, please reply to this or contact me directly at eteply at me.com. My son (8 years old) has figured out to turn VO off, type, turn VO back on....how painful!!! But, it works. Frustrating, none the less. And, I am going to open a case with Apple.

2. Just using the Notes app, changing anything with rotor does not change how it reads back to you. I have downloaded Access Notes and it looks promising but until we fix the ipad/keyboard problem, it's just too painful to test. UGH!

I welcome any more ideas and suggestions and thank you for all the comments so far.

-Erin
