Hello:

A good place to get quick lessons on a wide variety of B/VI computer questions is Your Tech Vision. The site is: http://www.yourtechvision.com/
Here are some quick ways to get help and on the fly training with JAWS.
1. Remember, for a desktop keyboard, the JAWSkey is the insert key on the keypad.
2. On a laptop, the JAWSkey is the caps-lock key.
3. Press the JAWSkey-1 on the keyboard to activate the key describer function. Pressing keys will tell you their functions. Be careful if you have a mute key. Pressing it will purn off the sound.
4. Press JAWSkey-h to get context specific help.
5. Press JAWSkey-f1 to get more help with an application.
6. Press JAWSkey-f1 twice quickly to access the JAWS training files.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Robert

My kids are 8 and 10, we live in Raleigh NC area, my 10 year old really needs to get on the ball as we she will be entering Middle next year, although she could use her iPad for almost everything they do here at the middle (I'm a braillist at the middle). I do know some blind adults/young adults, I will look into that option!

Thanks,
Traci
