Cradle of Hope Adoption Center, a nonprofit adoption agency with 25 years
of experience, is looking for homes for two Chinese boys who are
blind/vision impaired.

- Jordan is an outgoing 7 year old boy who was abandoned when he
was 18 months old. He is diagnosed as having congenital microphthalmus,
congenital cataracts, and delayed intelligence development. Jordan lives in
a foster family who report that he is always in a good mood. He takes the
bus to school, feeds and dresses himself, and goes to the bathroom on his
own. Due to his poor vision, his intellectual development is behind his
peers but he goes to school, can sing and recite poems, teaches his younger
foster brother to count, and loves when the teacher reads a story. He
likes to play outdoors on the playground where he enjoys the swings,
seesaw, slide and sandbox. Can Jordan be your son?

- Luke is a bright and mature four year old boy who was abandoned
when he was just two months old. He has congenital microphthalmia, which
causes his vision to be poor. He is sensitive to light and can see big,
moving or colorful objects if they are close up. Luke loves music, dancing,
and playing with toys with sound. He will sing songs for his foster parents
and loves their praise. He also enjoys going outdoors and spending time
with friends. He has good self-care ability and can use the toilet by
himself. He listens well to his foster parents and behaves well in front of
strangers. Luke is currently in school. Could Luke be your son?

Adoptive parents can be single women or married heterosexual couples
(China’s rules) between 30 and 55 years old. One trip to China for about
two weeks is required. Adopting either child will end up costing around
$20,000, plus travel expenses and China’s mandatory orphanage donation.
Fees and expenses are paid over the 10 – 12 month course of the adoption,
so it’s not necessary to have the full amount up front. Adoption grants
may be available from adoption funding organizations.

Please email me for more information on Luke or Jordan. In your reply,
please include information on where you live, your ages, length of
marriage, ages/gender/health status of other children in the family, your
occupations, health status, housing situation, approximate annual income
and whether you have a current homestudy.

I look forward to hearing from you.
